Happy New Year all. Stay focused on your goals. Everything is possible! Here’s the weekly synopsis of what’s happening on mainstream radio:

On Rhythmic radio: Lorde has a new single, “Team,” which sits at #30. Katy Perry “Dark Horse” climbs from #21 to #17. Jay Z “Tom Ford” drops over 400 spins, falls from #8 to #12 (only reached #6).

On Urban Adult Contemporary: Eddie Murphy “Promise (You Won’t Break My Heart)” has been on the charts two weeks at sits at #30. Algebra Blessett “Nobody But You” and Ledisi “I Blame You” both are now in the Top 15, #15 and #13 respectively, but have very slow gain (barely 50 new spns) as they aim for to the Top 10.

On Urban radio: Ty Dolla $ign moves from #23 to #20 with the single “Paranoid.” Beyonce f/ Jay Z “Drunk In Love,” just four weeks on, has 600+ new spins (#10 to #5).

Top 3 on Rhythmic radio:  Drake f/ Majid Jordan “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” Kid Ink f/ Chris Brown “Show Me,” and still #1 Eminem f/ Rihanna “The Monster.”

Top 3 on Urban AC radio: Fantasia f/ Kelly Rowland “Without Me,” Toni Braxton & Babyface “Hurt You,” and #1 Robin Thicke “For The Rest Of My Life.”

Top 3 on Urban radio: YG f/ Jeezy & RichHomieQuan “My Hitta,”  Sevyn Streeter “It Won’t Stop,” and #1 Drake f/ 2 Chainz & Big Sean “All Of Me.”
