On Urban AC stations: Alicia Keys f/ Kendrick Lamar “It’s On Again” debuts with 280 new spins, lands at #21.

On Urban stations: 50 Cent f/ Trey Songz “Smoke” debuts last week, grabs 570 spins, lands at #38.

Time for the weekly radio review, based on my work for Mediabase. Look for these updates every Monday morning.

On Rhythmic stations: Tech N9ne (who’s barely seen any radio play in his career) has six weeks on the chart, “Fragile” at #22. Iggy Azalea f/ Charli XCX “Fancy” and Young Money f/ Drake “Trophies” climb into the Top 20.

On Urban AC stations: Aloe Blacc “The Man” has been on the charts 8 weeks and sits at #21. I truly thought it would have grabbed more spins by now. Toni Braxton & Babyface “Where Did We Go Wrong” moves into the Top 15. Jhene Aiko “The Worst” moves into the Top 10.

On Urban stations: K Camp “Cut Her Off” jumps into the Top 20, from #25 to #19. Future f/ Pharrell “Move That Doh” continues to gain spins. Kid Ink f/ Chris Brown “Show Me” drops from #1 to #4.

On Urban stations: Future f/ Pharrell Williams “Move That Doh” is now in the Top 20, (#20). Jay Z f/ Beyonce “Part II (On The Run)” has been sitting still for two weeks, at #10.

Hope the New Year is treating you well. Stay focused and inspired to reach your goals. And here’s the weekly synopsis of what’s happening on mainstream radio (based on my work at Mediabase):

On Rhythmic stations: Eminem “Headlights” and Chainsmokers “#SELFIE” are new to the charts, one week on, and close to entering the Top 30. Two songs with incredible amounts of new spins gained: Beyonce “Partition” over 600 spins, now at #20, and Trey Songz “Na Na Na” over 500 spins, now at #10.

On Urban AC stations: Joe’s remix of “Love & Sex (pt. 2)” featuring Kelly Rowland has jumped into the Top 15 (#14). Ledisi “I Blame You” has entered to the Top 10 (#7).

On Urban stations: Boosie & Webbie “Show Da World” has been on the Urban chart two weeks and is sitting at #25. Expect it to gain spins over the next week, now that Boosie is out of jail and his popularity has soared. New to the Top 20 are DJ Infamous f/ Jeezy & Ludacris “Double Up” (#20) and Schoolboy Q “Man Of The Year” (#18).

On Rhythmic stations: Rico Love “They Don’t Know” climbs into the Top 20 (#18). Chris Brown f/ Lil Wayne “Loyal” climbs into the #10 spot.

On Urban AC stations: Joe’s second version of “Love &  Sex” featuring Kelly Rowland is two weeks on Urb AC at #21. George Tandy Jr. “March” moves from #10 to #8.

On Urban stations: While Pharrell Williams “Happy” is in the Top 10 on both Rhythmic and Urb AC charts, it’s only at #14 on Urban (I’m confused on this one). Drake “The Language” has now moved to the Top 5.
